Despite missing races due to injury and narrowly missing the playoffs in 2023, his merchandise remained among the sport’s top sellers. His name still echoed in every driver intros.
Now, as Elliott begins to show flashes of his old dominance, the energy surrounding his comeback is palpable.
“He’s more than a driver — he’s a symbol for a lot of fans who’ve followed NASCAR through generational change,” one longtime fan tweeted.
“We didn’t just believe in Chase when he was winning. We believed in him when he was struggling. That’s what makes this moment so powerful.”
Back in Form — and Hungrier Than Ever

“We’re not done,” Elliott said. “The goal is still to win races. To bring home another title. But right now, I’m just grateful — grateful to be back in this place mentally and physically. And grateful to the people who never stopped believing.”
