TE transfer has a “wonderful weekend” in Tennessee tight end during formal visit to Notre Dame Holden Staes traveled to Tennessee this past weekend to begin investigating his options for pursuing his college education.
When Holden Staes was in the eighth grade, he took one of his first recruiting trips and ended up going to Tennessee. After adding his name to the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, he’s now seriously considering Tennessee after not giving the Vols much thought during his high school career.
The Notre Dame tight end, a sophomore, made his first official visit to the Vols this weekend and left impressed. After spending the previous two years with the Fighting Irish, he said that Tennessee’s campus appeared “much different” from what he had seen when he visited the Vols a few years prior. He is enthusiastic about his opportunity to join their offense.

This past weekend, one of Tennessee’s top remaining targets in the 2024 class made an official visit to Knoxville with the Vols.
Having attended a few of the Vols’ home games this season, Jaren Sensabaugh was well acquainted with the team heading into his formal visit to Tennessee this coming weekend. But he saw a different side of the program during his weekend visit in Knoxville.
After visiting the Vols for the third time in less than two months, the Nashville, Tennessee, class of 2024 cornerback from Ensworth School said he was reminded of “how much of a family Tennessee really is.” Along with enjoying a more in-depth look at Tennessee’s campus over a typical weekend, he acknowledged that he is “considering UT heavily” as he gets ready to reveal his final college choice in the near future.
