            Raiders Facing Familiar Faces Against the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders will square off in Week 17 in a game that will pit the Silver and Black against four former Raider coaches. Gus Bradley, the defensive coordinator for the Colts, is the first to do it. For one season in 2021, Bradley oversaw defense for the Silver and Black. Defensive end Maxx Crosby was named to his first NFL Pro Bowl during his one season as the Raiders’ defensive coordinator.

He finished the season with 56 tackles (36 solo), 13.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, and seven passes defended. Ron Milus, the defensive backs coach for the Colts, was also a member of the Silver and Black in 2021. Leading Raiders cornerback Brandon Facyson in a career-high forty solo tackles, thirteen passes defended, and one interception was Milus’s accomplishment.

Mike Mitchell was a member of the Silver and Black and is currently Indianapolis’ assistant defensive backs coach. Mitchell played four seasons after the Raiders selected him 47th overall in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In 61 games, he recorded 139 tackles, 106 solo, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

The Las Vegas Raiders and the Indianapolis Colts will square off this Sunday in a match that features former players and coaches. All rights reserved by Tommy Gilligan of USA TODAY Sports. For one season in 2021, Richard Smith, the linebackers coach and run game coordinator for the Colts, was the Raiders’ linebackers coach. After linebacker Denzel Perryman finished the season with 154 total tackles, he guided him to his first career Pro Bowl selection. This Sunday, the Raiders take on the Colts, who also happen to be former teammates.

In the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, 69th overall, the Raiders selected Colts tackle Jared Veldheer. Two current Silver and Black players were once affiliated with Indianapolis. In 2022, cornerback Facyson participated in 16 games with the Colts.

Assailants Another ex-Colt is Brian Hoyer. During his one-season stint with Indianapolis in 2019, Hoyer recorded 372 yards and four touchdowns while starting four games. At Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on New Year’s Eve, the Silver and Black play the Indianapolis Colts to extend their season.
