Disaster: Miami coach get slammed by a former a player as the worst coach he has
One of the most famous college football tales was about a player who spent three years in Athens, Georgia, and helped the University of Georgia Bulldogs win two national titles. During those two seasons when they won national championships, Stetson Bennett’s career took off, and the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the fourth round of the draft. The former Georgia quarterback’s time with the Rams ended for unspecified reasons following a strong preseason. Rams head coach Sean McVay has provided an update on his return to the club as their season draws to an end.
Last Wednesday, at a news conference, he was questioned over Bennett’s homecoming. “I’m not aware of it, you know. That’s a discussion for another day, in my opinion. I believe he’s improving, but at this point I wouldn’t be able to provide a precise response.

Bennett was slated to be Matthew Stafford’s backup, another fellow UGA alumnus. Bennett’s departure meant that Brett Rypien, who had been Los Angeles’ backup quarterback until being dismissed, was replaced by Carson Wentz. Wentz, who has struggled with injuries throughout his career, had a strong season and helped the Rams surprise everyone by making the playoffs.
