This afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS, the 13th-ranked Tennessee football team prepares to play the No. 14 Missouri Tigers in a top-15 matchup in Columbia, Missouri.
In the game, the Vols will be missing a few players, but none of them are consistent starters.
The following is a list of notable Vols who are not playing against Missouri.
Karic is absent for the second straight game, while Pili has missed nine in a row since the start of the season. Karic missed last week’s game due to a re-injury he sustained in Lexington after missing several weeks of action before the Kentucky game.
Carter, on the other hand, missed UConn last week and is now missing his second straight game. The Vols will rely on Kalib Perry and Jeremiah Telander to support starters Aaron Beasley and Elijah Herring at linebacker in the absence of Pili and Carter.
In Karic’s absence, Dayne Davis, Jackson Lampley or Addison Nichols would be the next in line if Ollie Lane or Javontez Spraggins were to go down.
Christian Charles has also been sidelined for a considerable amount of time due to an injury. Wesley Walker and Jaylen McCollough will continue to be supported at safety by Andre Turrentine and Jourdan Thomas.
LB Kwauze (Pakk) Garland, CB Kamal Hadden, and WR Bru McCoy are out for the rest of the season due to season-ending injuries.
