Coming out of Georgia as one of the most decorated tight end prospects in recent memory, Brock Bowers entered the NFL with lofty expectations. Now, just months into his professional journey, he’s not shying away from setting the bar high—his goal is to reach the elite territory of Travis Kelce and George Kittle.
“I want to be where those guys are,” Bowers said during a session at Tight End University, the annual offseason summit founded by Kelce, Kittle, and Greg Olsen. “They’ve been doing it for years, and I’m here to learn everything I can.”
Soaking in the Secrets at Tight End University
Bowers didn’t just show up to TEU—he made it a mission to absorb every detail. From footwork drills with Kittle to route-running sessions with Kelce, the rookie has been dialed in.
“The way they talk about leverage, angles, and disguising routes—it’s another level,” Bowers said. “You realize quickly this isn’t just about being big and fast. It’s a craft.”
Kelce, the All-Pro tight end for the Chiefs, took notice: “Brock’s got that fire,” he said. “You can tell he’s not just here to hang out—he wants to dominate.”
Energized by Pete Carroll’s Return to the Sidelines
Another major storyline this offseason is Pete Carroll’s return to coaching—this time as the Raiders’ head man, bringing his trademark energy and championship pedigree to Las Vegas. Bowers is already all-in.
“Coach Carroll is electric. You walk into the building and you feel that energy—he believes in us,” Bowers said. “He’s been coaching legends, and I want to be the next one.”

Another key piece of the Raiders’ 2025 puzzle is quarterback Geno Smith, who signed with Las Vegas this offseason after a productive run in Seattle. And so far, the connection with Bowers is developing fast.
“Geno throws a super catchable ball,” Bowers said. “He’s a leader, and he’s been great about helping me get in sync with the offense. We’re already working on timing and red-zone stuff.”
Smith echoed the sentiment: “Brock is everything you want in a young tight end. He’s smart, explosive, and already acts like a veteran.”
