Kyle Hamilton, a safety for the Baltimore Ravens, was fined for his actions during last Sunday’s victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Following a hit on Titans wide receiver Chris Moore’s head that resulted in the safety being removed from the game, Hamilton was fined. Moore needed assistance getting to the locker room following the hit because he was unsteady and shook. Hamilton was clearly upset on the sidelines and disagreed with the decision when he was sent off the field.

The league cited the helmet-to-helmet hit as the reason for the $20,524 fine for the needless roughness.

Despite having a stellar season thus far, he recorded just one tackle at the end of the game and had no other statistics. This was his worst performance to date. Following his ejection, there was conjecture that he might face a suspension for hitting an undefended receiver in the head. But Hamilton is only receiving a fine as a form of punishment.

During the first six games, he has racked up 25 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception, and 2 passes defensed. With the Ravens, Hamilton has been playing defense and finally showcasing the skills that the team selected him for with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2022 Draft out of Notre Dame.

This Sunday, when Baltimore hosts the 5-1 Detroit Lions and their potent passing attack, Hamilton will be available. With 259.5 passing yards per game, the Lions rank fourth in the league.
