WOLVERINES FORMER LB PLAYER HAS AGAIN RETURNED FOR.
Mason Curtis, an outside linebacker for Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth 2024, a four-star prospect, is among the 27 players that Michigan signed during the early signing period on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound player made his verbal commitment back in June of 2022, making him the class’s first commit.
After formally submitting his national letter of intent, he discusses joining the Wolverine team.
Curtis told The Michigan Insider, “It was a date I had been looking forward to, even though I had been committed for so long.” It was satisfying to make it official. Someone who is going to give it their best on every play and in every game is what (the Michigan supporters should anticipate).
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound player is extremely athletic and has experience in a variety of sports, including basketball. He has turned his entire attention to weightlifting and football, but he still managed a few jaw-dropping dunks to showcase his amazing athleticism.
Regarding his position on the football field and how the Maize and Blue defensive team envisions him fitting in, they have an idea, and Curtis adores it.
“They see me as a Jaylen Harrell right now, but they know I’m versatile and can play different positions in the defense,” Curtis remarked. “Someone with the ability to drop into coverage and rush the passer.”
I adore it. I want to make plays like the ones he does. I’ll receive the best coaching and development whether I play that position or another because Michigan is excellent at developing players.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Curtis is ranked as the No. 303 overall prospect in the 2024 class, the No. 23 linebacker in the country, and the No. 6 player in the state of Tennessee for his class.
