In March 2022, O’Donnel agreed to a two-year contract with the Packers. Following eight years (2014–2021) with the Chicago Bears, this occurred. After winning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week Three, he enjoyed a largely successful season.

With an average of 45.1 yards per punt, he has made 616 punts in his career. It will be intriguing to watch whether the 32-year-old punter finds a berth on the Falcons’ active roster.
