Miles McBride signs an extended contract with the New York Knicks.

Point guard Miles McBride has signed a contract extension with the New York Knicks. The organization hasn’t formally revealed the deal’s finances, but Spotrac pegs the cost at $13 million for a three-year veteran agreement.
The current season is Miles McBride’s option year. The 23-year-old first entered the league on a three-year, $4.3 million contract signed in August 2021.

The Knicks’ renewed devotion to the youthful, defensive-minded guard is demonstrated by this new agreement.
McBride, who is well-known for his ability on defense, has played in 19 games this season, scoring 2.1 points and playing 5.3 minutes each time. In the Knicks’ most recent game, a 140-126 loss to the Indiana Pacers, he played for a season-high eighteen minutes.

Throughout his career, which includes two of the Knicks’ three seasons, McBride has averaged 2.8 points and 10.0 minutes per game across 123 games, including four starts. He has become an invaluable asset due to his participation to the team’s defensive plans and developing abilities.

The Knicks just underwent a major roster overhaul, which coincided with the contract extension. The squad acquired point guard, Precious Achiuwa, and forward, OG Anunoby, from the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.
