Before their Week 13 game against the 49ers, the Eagles announce four roster changes.

The Eagles have made four roster changes prior to their practice on Thursday. The team’s crucial Sunday game against the 49ers is just a few days away.

Ben VanSumeren, a linebacker, has signed with Philadelphia to the active roster.

We’ve removed WR Greg Ward from the Practice Squad, added DB Josiah Scott and WR Cam Sims to the Practice Squad, and added LB Ben VanSumeren to the active roster.

Along with adding wide receiver Cam Sims and cornerback Josiah Scott to the practice squad, the Eagles also cut wide receiver Greg Ward.

Having played in the previous three games, the undrafted free agent is no longer being elevated to the practice squad. VanSumeren played 62 snaps during that time, all of them on special teams.

After leading the NFL with 26 tackles in the preseason, the 23-year-old played the majority of the season on the practice squad.

Scott was waived by the Eagles off the active roster two days ago, and now he is a member of the practice squad.

Despite playing in four games so far this season, the cornerback did not participate in Sunday’s victory against the Bills.

Scott played 17 defensive snaps and recorded one solo tackle.

In his debut season with the Eagles, the former fourth-round draft selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars appeared in 29 games and made four starts. Along with eight pass deflections, two interceptions, one sack, and 38 tackles, he was quite active.

Sims has appeared in 55 games for the Washington Commanders, making 17 starts. In his six-year career, he has 57 receptions for 804 yards and three touchdowns.

Ward joined the team in 2017 and helped them win Super Bowl LII while on the practice squad.

The former Houston Cougars quarterback recorded 88 receptions for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns in 40 career games (13 starts). 2020 saw Ward lead the club in touchdowns received (53), receptions, and receiving yards.
