Michigan's JJ McCarthy backs suspended Jim Harbaugh with T-shirt message

The Michigan Wolverines were chosen unanimously as No. 1 in the final Associated Press Top-25 Poll of the 2023 season following their victory in the National Championship on Monday night.

The Wolverines won their first National Championship in 26 years, defeating the Washington Huskies, who were ranked No. 2. The score was 34-13.

All 61 votes for Michigan came from first place. Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Washington come after the Wolverines. Even though the Huskies finished second in the AP Poll, it was their highest result since 1991.

Florida State and Oregon shared sixth place after the Seminoles’ 63-3 Orange Bowl loss to the Bulldogs and the Ducks’ 45-6 rout of Liberty.

Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Missouri completed the top ten. The worst is number ten.

After winning the National Championship and finishing the season ranked #1 in the AP Poll, Michigan can now legitimately say that they are the best team in the entire nation.

There were many celebrities in attendance for Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship game between Michigan and Washington, with one specific box at NRG Stadium in Houston drawing a lot of attention. Among the well-known figures in attendance were Travis Scott, Stephen A. Smith, Derek Jeter, and Michael Jordan.

They watched as Michigan defeated them 34–13 to win their first championship since 1997. Jeter, who was raised in Michigan and joined the Michigan Wolverines on a baseball scholarship, would have undoubtedly been pleased with his purchase.

If you’re wondering, Jordan would have also been cheering for the Wolverines in this situation. After being invited to join the Jordan Brand in 2015, Michigan formally inked an 11-year, $127.12 million contract with the company and Nike the following year.

The agreement also included a four-year option, extending its maximum duration to 15 years and $174 million. Nine other collegiate teams have signed with the company after the Wolverines did so, making them the first team to do so in history.

Regarding Smith, he didn’t actually have a horse in this race, but he did correctly predict that Michigan would win the race before to it. But as the Huskies were destroyed by the Wolverines’ relentless attack, it was far more one-sided than he had anticipated.
