Good News for the Celtics’ Health Ahead of the Cavaliers Rematch
The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-113 on Tuesday to raise their record to 11-0 at TD Garden.
Additionally, the win puts them in a tie for the best record in the NBA (17–5) with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
However, Jaylen Brown, a two-time All-Star, was on the C’s injury report the next day with a sprained left ankle. That’s the outcome of a play that seemed to conclude with two points at the rim late in the first half of Tuesday’s victory, but instead Brown rolled his left ankle.
He did, however, play in the second half after warming up after halftime, ending with 25 points to tie Jayson Tatum for the team lead. In addition, he recorded a steal, a block, and four assists.

Boston’s injury list also included Kristaps Porzingis, who recently missed four games because of a left calf tightness. And he’ll be in the lineup, just like Brown.
In the win on Tuesday, the seven-foot-three big finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal. The game on Thursday will begin at 7:30 EST.
