‘Sitting very good’ for the Gators is Top247 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr.
The University of Florida hosted its first Junior Day this past weekend, and Warner Robins, GA, native Antwann Hill Jr., a four-star quarterback for Houston County 2025, was one of the more well-known guests. During his recruitment, he visited Gainesville multiple times, and on his return, he relished the opportunity to catch up with some of the coaches.
“I felt great getting back in there to Florida,” Hill stated. “It was the first place I went on my list. It was a wonderful trip. I had the opportunity to have a seat with Coaches [Billy] Napier and Ryan O’Hara. We had numerous football conversations during which I was able to learn a great deal.
Josiah Abdullah, a wide receiver from the 2025 class, and transfer quarterback Clay Millen were the two commitments the Florida football program received on Sunday.
Along with true freshman DJ Lagway, who is anticipated to be Florida’s primary backup, and senior Graham Mertz, who is the Gators’ projected starter, Millen becomes the third scholarship quarterback on the team.
Millen is a second-time transfer who spent the previous two seasons at Colorado State, where he broke the school record for single season completion percentage (72 percent) and was named a freshman all-American by College Football News. Millen was a former four-star prospect who committed to Nevada as a member of the 2021 high school recruiting class.
Millen had a respectably good season that year, throwing for 1,910 yards and 10 touchdowns against six interceptions while playing behind one of the weakest offensive lines in the country and taking 55 sacks.
Even though Millen had a successful first season as a valuable college signal-caller, his time as Colorado State’s starting quarterback was brief. In the Rams’ 2023 season opener against Washington State, he finished 15 of 24 passes for 110 yards and an interception, which led to his replacement in the depth chart.
A few hours following Millen’s announcement of his commitment to the Gators, UF signed Atlanta wide receiver Abdullah, who told the Gators he planned to enroll in the class on Saturday during his birthday falls on Sunday, thus he made the announcement on Sunday. He visited the campus for their Junior Day.
Abdullah was first made an offer by the Gators in January 2023. Approximately a year after receiving his alleged 50 offers, he is now working with Billy Napier and his coaching crew. Myles Graham, a freshman linebacker for Florida, used to be a teammate of his.
