The remainder of the season, Bismack Biyombo will be a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The NBA trade deadline of 2024 has settled, and the buyout market has begun in earnest, even though a well-known player was already up for grabs.

ESPN NBA source Adrian Wojnarowski claims that former Phoenix Suns center Bismack Biyombo has signed a contract to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder for the remainder of the campaign.

After playing overseas before joining the league in 2011, Biyombo joined the Suns in 2022 and remained with the organization until the prior summer, when he became a free agent.

After taking his time to look for a new team, Biyombo signed a contract in November to assist the Memphis Grizzlies replace the ailing Steven Adams. The team had waived him back on January 10.

With the Grizzlies, Biyombo appeared in 30 games (starting 27), averaging 5.2 points, 1.1 blocks, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.

Now, he gets to play for a Thunder squad that is 35-16, 7-3 over their past ten games, and only half a game behind first place in the West.

The Suns, on the other hand, have a 31-21 record and are 10 games over.500. Right now, they are five games out of first place.
