Mason Shaw signs a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild
On Friday, the forward will work out with the team.
Mason Shaw, a forward, has signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild that will pay him $775,000/$400,000 for the 2023–24 campaign, the team announced on Thursday.
The Wild assigned Adam Beckman to Iowa in retaliation.
Prior to the season, the 25-year-old Shaw signed a one-way contract with the Iowa Wild despite suffering his fourth torn ACL during a game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights on April 1. In nine games this season with Iowa, Shaw has scored seven points (three goals and three assists).
Shaw scored 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) in 59 games during his time with Minnesota last season. Before suffering a season-ending injury, he began the 2022–2023 season with Iowa before being called up and gaining a permanent berth in the Wild lineup.
