It was a forgettable weekend for the Mexican driver. He had said that “the car felt strange” since practice. Despite starting the race in the top 5 in the end, he was unable to complete it. Max Verstappen, his colleague, made a comeback to the top of the podium in the meanwhile. Red Bull emerged victorious in the team competition thanks to the Dutchman’s triumph.
Sergio Perez may be subject to a suspension of his FIA Super License, which is a prerequisite for all Formula 1 drivers. RacingNews365 claims that the document is slightly over $11,000 in cost, but renewing it only adds $2,000.
To stop sabotage, it employs a point system. It restricts how many mishaps a driver can have in a single race. A driver is suspended for one race after accruing 12 points in a calendar year. Following the race at the Suzuka track in Japan, Checo Perez has seven points.
