Investigating Dak Prescott for his possible role in a 2017 reported sexual assault, Dallas police revealed to the Dallas Morning News on Thursday.

The Dallas Morning News stated that the purported event happened at the XTC Cabaret strip club’s parking lot sometime around February 2, 2017.

It happens a few days after the Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s allegations that he was extorted prompted Prosper, Texas, police to launch an inquiry.

When questioned about the situation earlier this week, the NFL remained silent. Stephen Jones, the executive vice president of the Cowboys, spoke on behalf of the club on Thursday at the PBR World Finals press conference.

In a lawsuit filed in Collin County on Monday, Prescott stated that a Forth Worth lady had falsely accused him of sexual assault. The 30-year-old said the woman was attempting to defraud him of $100 million through blackmail.

Prescott spoke with Prosper police four days prior to filing the case, according to information provided to the Dallas Morning News by his attorney, Levi G. McCathern. McCathern went on to say that Prescott and his accuser had a consensual relationship, but he withheld further information.

In an interview with 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday, Yoel Zehaie, the woman’s attorney, insisted that Prescott had assaulted his client and that a legal case is “very imminent.” According to Zahaie, it’s also not impossible to file criminal accusations.
