Western Sydney is able to confirm that Nicolas Milanovic has left the team at his request and is going home for non-football-related reasons.

Although the situation is unfortunate, the Club was willing to let the player go home because it understands that player welfare comes before football.

Milanovic expressed his gratitude to Western United for his stint in Green and Black before leaving, saying he goes with many priceless memories.

He thanked everyone for making his time at Western United so memorable, including the coaches, players, and supporters.

Mal Impiombato, the general manager of football at Western United, wished Milanovic well in the future and thanked him for his service to the team.

Football frequently regresses at certain points. As a Club, we cherish our members and frequently think about what’s best for both the member and the Club. In this case, we have assisted Milo in returning home at his wish,” he stated.

“Over the course of the four seasons, we have witnessed Nicolas’ development on the field, and it is encouraging to watch him mature into the football player he is today. We appreciate his service to Western United FC and wish him well in his future endeavors.

In the Club’s inaugural season in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men, Milanovic joined Western United in the New South Wales hub.

After making his debut the next season, he went on to make ten appearances in all before surpassing himself in 2021/22, participating in 11 games.

Milanovic scored his first senior goal in a 2-2 draw with Macarthur FC in February 2022, making history as Western United’s youngest goal scorer ever.

Milanovic was a key member of the United team that won the championship for the first time, and he helped the Green and Black make history.

The attacker has built on his success by having a great 2022–23 season thus far, tallying four goals in 15 games.

Nic’s efforts at Western United are much appreciated, and the entire team at Western United wishes him the best of luck as he pursues his future goals.
