Max Christie is not expected to play for the Lakers against the Grizzlies on Friday.
In the NBA Summer League, the Los Angeles Lakers have performed admirably thus far. They won their opening two games before losing to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday after squandering a double-digit lead. Since the California Classic, Max Christie, the incoming second-year wing who looks to have developed and broadened his game, has been their greatest player. In addition to assuming increased responsibility as a ball handler and defensive mainstay, he has demonstrated excellent 3-point shooting.
He strained his right hip during the game on Wednesday, which cast doubt on his availability for the remainder of the summer league schedule. Regretfully, he will not play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
The Lakers and Grizzlies will tip off at 8 p.m. Pacific Time from Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Nev.
