Two important veterans will not participate for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night in Game 3.
The first two games of the Los Angeles Lakers’ playoff run have not gone according to plan.
Despite having stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the roster, the Lakers are down 2-0 in the series, hoping to head back to Los Angeles to find that elusive win.
Charania also pointed out that Wood was supposed to come back for Game 3, and while the team and fanbase were excited to see him on their home court, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
James and Davis will have to try and shoulder the load for this team, hoping their veteran experience can help them pull through in the biggest moments.

These two losses have been especially frustrating for Lakers fans, considering that the team has been in both of these games but wasn’t able to pull out a win down the stretch.
The Denver Nuggets have prevailed in both of these matchups thus far, hoping to repeat as back-to-back NBA Champions.
As if things weren’t bad enough for the Lakers over these past few games, Shams Charania reported some sub-optimal news on Twitter.
Charania indicated that Christian Wood and Jarred Vanderbilt will both miss Game 3, a blow to the Lakers bench.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the series plays out, especially given the lack of overall depth for the Lakers at the moment.
This is seemingly one of James’ last tries to win a championship, but if the Lakers lose Game 3, those title dreams will likely be squashed.
