Gilmour notes, “It’s been over 50 years since *The Dark Side of the Moon*. I believe this album is the best work I’ve produced since 1973, when *The Dark Side of the Moon* was released.”

*The Dark Side of the Moon* is often regarded as one of the greatest prog rock albums ever, featuring iconic tracks such as “Money,” “Time,” “Breathe (In the Air),” and “Brain Damage.”

As for comparisons, we currently have only two singles from *Luck and Strange*: “The Piper’s Call” and “Between Two Points.” We’ll include these tracks below so you can judge Gilmour’s claim for yourself.

If you’re enjoying what you’ve heard so far, you’ll be happy to know that Gilmour is already working on material for a follow-up album.

In the interview, he mentions, “Our plan is to release this one and then immediately start on the next. I’ll be collaborating with these people again. I’ve struggled in the past with wanting to jump into the studio with a few people but not knowing who to work with.

“Now that pressure is gone because I have their contact information. It feels like having a team, and I love being part of a team—I never intended to be a solo artist.”

He adds, “When you’re young and in a band, everyone is equal at the start: you can argue, criticize, and have tantrums, but you stay together.

“However, once you’ve reached a higher level of success, most people who enter your orbit will look up to you. They won’t be like Charlie Andrew, the producer of *Luck and Strange* – Charlie is the kind of refreshing presence you hope to encounter.”
