The Pittsburgh Steelers had a terrible week in terms of both their on-field performance and the quantity of injuries they sustained. All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who broke his hand in Week 13, was particularly fortunate to receive the bad news, according to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s post-game remarks.

Fitzpatrick managed to finish the game despite having his hand put in a cast during the prolonged halftime, but it’s difficult given his ballhawking role, which is what makes him most valuable to this defense.

Things didn’t go quite as planned in the first half. The Arizona Cardinals, who came into the game with a 2-10 record and were in contention for the No. 1 overall pick, will trail the Steelers 10-3 at the half. This team will need a lot to go right because of their string of misfortunes and injuries, which include QB Kenny Pickett (questionable) with an ankle injury, LG Isaac Seumalo (questionable) with a shoulder injury, and LB Elandon Roberts (out) with a groin injury.
