Leeds should definitely look to sign a £10 million Premier League striker in January to support Mateo Joseph.

The Whites have secured two wins in their first five Championship matches, but suffered a 1-0 defeat to Burnley in their most recent game.

Daniel Farke’s squad is lamenting missed opportunities, particularly Mateo Joseph’s misfired one-on-one chance, which proved crucial in that match.

Despite Joseph’s effort and enthusiasm, he has struggled to convert chances, and his inconsistency is starting to impact the team negatively.

To alleviate some pressure from the 20-year-old, Leeds should consider signing a £10 million Premier League striker.

Leeds should target Ross Stewart from Southampton in January. Joseph has stepped into the starting lineup this season after showing promise in brief appearances last term. While he has contributed to three goals in five games, he is still finding it difficult to finish effectively.

Given his age, Joseph’s lack of composure is understandable, so Leeds should look to bring in experienced striker Ross Stewart, who just turned 28 over the summer. Currently, he is behind Cameron Archer in the lineup and could be available in January.

Stewart has proven himself at the Championship level, scoring 10 goals in 16 appearances throughout his career.

Signing Stewart would provide valuable support to Joseph, easing the pressure on the young Spaniard. Right now, Patrick Bamford is the only significant competition, but he has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.

There is a clear need for an additional forward, and Stewart would be the perfect addition.
