Boubacar Traore exited the game for Notre Dame football, joining Christian Gray on the sideline.

Boubacar Traore, Notre Dame football’s season leader with three sacks, left Saturday’s game against Louisville with a suspected left knee injury.

The redshirt freshman fell to the ground after tackling Keyjuan Brown on a 4-yard run. Two athletic trainers examined his left knee before he slowly limped off the field with their help.

Traore did not return for the rest of the first half, and no official update on his condition was provided. He was seen with an ice pack on his left knee while standing on the sideline toward the end of the half.

In other news, freshman cornerback Leonard Moore started in place of sophomore Christian Gray, who was not on the official injury report. Gray, who had started the first four games, was on the sideline without his helmet and did not play in the first half.
