Miller Moss connected on two of his three touchdown passes to Ja’Kobi Lane, leading No. 13 Southern California to a 38-21 comeback win over Wisconsin in their first Big Ten home game on Saturday.
After a close loss in their Big Ten debut against Michigan, USC found themselves trailing 21-10 at halftime, receiving boos from their home crowd due to three turnovers. However, the Trojans (3-1, 1-1) turned it around in the second half, outscoring Wisconsin 28-0 for their first victory in the Big Ten.
“I’m really proud of this team’s resilience in the second half,” said head coach Lincoln Riley. “We definitely need to start faster; the first half wasn’t great. But I’m proud of how we responded. It was fantastic to get our first Big Ten win.”
Lane finished with 10 receptions for 105 yards, while Duce Robinson scored the go-ahead touchdown on a precise throw from Moss, who totaled 308 passing yards. Moss was briefly evaluated for a concussion after falling awkwardly during a 7-yard touchdown run on a fourth-down play but remained in the game.
