Texans Unveil Initial Unofficial Offensive Depth Chart Before Season Opener.

The Houston Texans are gearing up for what appears to be a promising season at NRG Stadium, thanks to strong performances from DeMeco Ryans, C.J. Stroud, and Will Anderson Jr. Stroud, who is among just five quarterbacks in NFL history to pass for 4,000 yards as a rookie, is looking like a potential MVP candidate.

Anderson, who earned the Defensive Rookie of the Year title, is aiming to surpass J.J. Watt’s single-season sack record and compete for Defensive Player of the Year. Although it may seem ambitious, his pressure rate last season was comparable to that of past winners Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt.

On Tuesday, the Texans released their unofficial depth chart ahead of the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts. There weren’t many changes, aside from the players who did not make the active 53-man roster. Just because a player is listed higher doesn’t guarantee they will receive the majority of playing time, and while the chart is unofficial, it accurately reflects player rankings as the season begins.
