Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, went down during Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals with what many believed to be a serious leg injury.

Eventually, the quarterback for the Jaguars would rise to his feet, but strangely, there was no cart on the field to assist him in reaching the locker room.

Rather, Lawrence, helped by a security guard and an assistant coach, very gingerly and slowly hobbled to the locker room.

Given Trevor Lawrence’s importance to the Jaguars organization and the fact he had to walk all the way, it was undoubtedly an odd scene.

Lawrence, though, disclosed on Wednesday the precise reason he wasn’t wheeled to the locker room.

“Yeah, we have an amazing medical staff that takes care of us in every way that you could imagine,”

Lawrence responded on Monday, when questioned about the peculiar circumstance, with a sardonic smile.

Trevor claimed that Amanda, his wife, had told him about all the drama that his decision to walk rather than take the elevator to the locker room had caused.

“We talked about getting a cart and I was going to get a cart and then I’m standing there, you know?” I responded, “No, we’re going to make it the whole way there,” to their repeated question about whether I wanted a cart even though I was already there. “I didn’t know there were cameras in the tunnel, but no, of course we have carts, we have everything you need.”

It could have been much worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night. After Jacksonville’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Trevor Lawrence seemed to sustain a frightening leg injury.

Lawrence claims that the Jaguars did not get their franchise player a cart because the player didn’t believe he needed one. When the quarterback realized how far it would be to walk off the field, he laughed about his choice.

A few people used X to pose the single question, “Why?” “Get your franchise quarterback a cart!” yelled another fan. Another user commented, “They got my man walking a quarter mile back to the locker room.”

Social media users also speculated that Lawrence, who before the injury was 22-for-29 for 258 yards and two touchdowns, might have “refused a cart.”

After being pushed back, Jaguars left tackle Walker Little stepped on Lawrence’s ankle during the fourth quarter, causing the 24-year-old injury.
