BRAKING NEWS: Arsenal Match Against Brentfort With…

Before Arsenal’s match against Brentford, Mikel Arteta is urged to make an unexpected change.

This weekend’s Arsenal match against Brentford appears to see Mikel Arteta starting Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard back in the lineup, but the manager of the Gunners has been urged to make an unexpected change somewhere else in the lineup.

David Seaman, a former player for Arsenal, has urged Mikel Arteta to start Aaron Ramsdale again in this weekend’s Premier League matchup against Brentford. With a challenging matchup against the Bees, the Gunners will continue their title challenge, and it appears that Arteta will have to make a change in goalkeeper.

David Raya will not be eligible for selection this weekend because he signed a season-long loan deal with Arsenal in the summer. According to Premier League regulations, a player cannot play against their parent club. Ramsdale, who recently spoke about the most difficult time in his career, appears to be starting his first Premier League match since the 3-1 victory.

The 25-year-old, who has only played in the Carabao Cup since being cut, will be looking to seize his uncommon opportunity in the Premier League to prove to Arteta that he is deserving of the starting goalie position at the team. Seaman is optimistic that Ramsdale will take advantage of his chance to give his manager something to think about before a Champions League matchup against Lens.

“His chances [of playing for England] will be affected if he is not playing,” Seaman told the BBC. “If my assumption is correct, he will play this weekend – Raya is on loan and is unable to play [against parent club Brentford].

“After Aaron enters and has an opportunity, I believe that’s when we will truly find out what will transpire. We know who Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, thinks is the best if Aaron plays well on the weekend and is then benched for the next game.

“For Aaron, it’s not good. Without a doubt, Mikel is a world-class goalkeeper, and he has the responsibility of keeping two extremely talented goalkeepers very happy.

As Arsenal waits for a decision, Pep Guardiola’s position on Man City’s FFP charges speaks volumes.

“I believe that January will be a little bit too early [to think about seeking a move away from Arsenal], but Aaron needs to be playing going into next summer [and the European Championship], where he is really pushing to be England goalkeeper.” After this weekend, I will be giving the game a lot of thought.

We will learn a great deal of information at that point. We’ll have to wait and see until after that game based on what Mikel said when they brought in Raya about rotating goalkeepers, but there’s no denying that Aaron is too good to be number two.”
