A new development in Real Betis’ efforts to acquire a permanent move to Leeds United.

Marc Roca of Leeds United is presently with Real Betis on loan.

Due to financial difficulties, Real Betis is unsure if they will be able to retain Marc Roca at the team after his current loan period ends.
Roca has been a valuable addition to the Betis team, helping them succeed in La Liga by forming a partnership in the midfield.
Leeds United’s move to the Premier League may make it more difficult for them to sign Roca again, but if they stay in the Championship, another loan period may still be possible.

Real Betis is reportedly becoming increasingly concerned that Marc Roca of Leeds United won’t be able to stay with the team after his current loan period.

Mucho Deporte, a Spanish publication, reports that La Liga team Betis is not optimistic about keeping the midfield player past this season.

The player’s contract with Manuel Pellegrini includes an option to buy, but Los Verdiblancos are having financial difficulties and it seems doubtful that they will be able to pay the signing bonus.

In the summer of 2022, Roca left Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich to join Leeds in a reported £10 million deal.

But he spent last season on loan in the Spanish top flight due to his relegation to the Championship in the previous campaign.

What recent events concern Marc Roca?

Roca has made 13 league appearances for Pellegrini’s Betis team, demonstrating his strength as an addition to the team.

With Betis presently sitting seventh in the standings, he has forged a partnership with Guido Rodriguez in the center of the midfield.

In an attempt to earn a spot in Europe for yet another season, the Spanish team is also participating in the Europa League.

Betis is reportedly pleased that Roca has joined the first team and is eager to keep him around for the duration of the current campaign.

But it appears that completing a permanent deal will be too costly, which could put any hopes of signing him in the summer in jeopardy.

Leeds may be able to loan him out for an additional year if they are unable to get promoted back to the Premier League.

However, advancement for the Whites would.

Leeds is aiming to fight for promotion back to the Premier League at the first opportunity, and they are currently third in the Championship table.

Daniel Farke’s team trails leaders Leicester City by eight points, while Ipswich Town leads in second place by the same amount of points.

Before the November international break, the Yorkshire team had won their previous three games in a row, which had helped them get closer to the top two.

After taking one last weekend off before the hectic schedule that comes with December, Farke’s team will be back in action this weekend.

Leeds’ away match against Rotherham United on Friday night will kick off a run of ten games between now and January 1.

Does Leeds United still have a place for Marc Roca?
Roca made 32 appearances for the team during their relegation to the Championship last season, and he was a valuable addition to the squad.

If Betis cannot afford the buy option, then there should be room for him in the first team squad if Leeds were to return to the top flight.

Because of his strong results for Betis, there is a chance he will play for the team once more soon.

This loan in Spain may help him keep a respectable market value come summertime, even if he plans to leave Leeds regardless of what transpires.
