SIGNIN NEWS: Deal Between Gnonto And Spurs To….

The proposed deal between Gnonto and Spurs and Leeds United makes sense.

Joe Rodon might become a permanent fixture at Leeds United, but that would need a trade in which Wilfried Gnonto would go to Tottenham Hotspur.
Due to his poor performance this season and decline in Leeds’ hierarchy, it is difficult to defend Gnonto’s long-term retention.
Gnonto might benefit from a move to Tottenham, and Rodon might be better off making a permanent move to Leeds after finding success there.

Express writer Joe Krishnan has suggested an intriguing January transfer involving Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United.

In an attempt to bolster Daniel Farke’s defensive options for a run at Premier League promotion, Leeds has loaned Joe Rodon to them from Spurs for the current campaign.

According to recent reports, Rodon is valued at £20 million by the elite league, which is a significant amount of money for a Championship team to spend. There have been rumors that the defender may sign a permanent contract with the Whites.

Rodon has been a huge asset for Leeds so far this season, so it will be worthwhile to take advantage of the opportunity to sign him permanently.

However, as part of a trade agreement between the two clubs, Wilfried Gnonto would have to go in the other direction in order to implement this plan.

While that could counteract the enormous £20.

Is Wilfried Gnonto likely to leave Leeds United come January?

Last summer, Gnonto was the focus of a lot of transfer rumors, but he stayed at Elland Road even though teams like Everton made offers of up to £25 million for the Italian.

For Leeds, holding onto the forward was considered a major victory.

Yet despite having a strong first Premier League season with the team last year, Gnonto has fallen short of preseason expectations.

His on-field performances appear to be suffering as a result of his inability to secure a move away from Elland Road in the summer.

Out of 16 games played in the Championship thus far this season, Gnonto has only made 10 appearances, six of which have been starts.

With just one goal and one assist to his name, the 20-year-old has dropped out of the starting lineup in favor of players like Daniel James.

Since it would be difficult to maintain him in the long run due to all of those reasons, Rodon’s involvement in this move might be a wise way to end the story completely.

Leeds will be offloading a player who might end up being more trouble than he’s worth in order to secure a move for a player they would undoubtedly want to keep beyond his loan spell.

Although Spurs may be eager to bolster their team mid-campaign as they look to chase a top four, Leeds will be able to take stock knowing their league status for next year, so it may be wiser to wait until the summer to agree this deal rather than in January.

Could Wilfried Gnonto benefit the starting lineup for Tottenham?

During the previous Premier League season, Gnonto made 24 appearances for a struggling Leeds team, contributing two goals and four assists.

He is a tremendous talent with a lot of quality that he hasn’t quite demonstrated in the Championship.

He might need a change of scenery to get back on track, and a move to a team like Spurs would be perfect given their need for offensive reinforcement.

Collaborating with Ange Postecoglou would be beneficial for his growth, as the Australian has demonstrated time and again that he can bring out the best in players.

Rodon, meanwhile, appears to have no future in north London as he has descended the Spurs team’s hierarchy.

His career has greatly benefited from the move to Leeds, so a permanent relocation to Elland Road seems like the right course of action.
