QPR interested in signing new rapid forward for Cifuentes.
A new transfer rumor claims that Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing an attacking player who is currently playing for another Football League team.
News on QPR transfers
After a very disappointing season opener, Gareth Ainsworth was fired from the Rs, and Marti Cifuentes took over as manager. The club is currently experiencing the beginning of a new era. Following a two-week hiatus due to the international break, QPR will return to Championship action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Norwich City for a test match.
With only Sheffield Wednesday below them, Cifuentes’ team is currently languishing in 23rd place in the standings. It is evident that both on-field and off-field improvements are required if relegation to League One is to be avoided in May.
In the summer, a number of players were linked to a move to Loftus Road, including former Rs striker Chris Martin. QPR is also vying with a number of clubs for the signing of defender Nathaniel Adjei.
QPR is eager to sign CJ Hamilton.
QPR is interested in signing Blackpool wide player CJ Hamilton during the January transfer window, but they are not the only team showing interest, according to a recent report from Football Insider.
“Sources have told Football Insider that Huddersfield Town, Queens Park Rangers, and Derby County are planning moves for Blackpool winger CJ Hamilton in January. The 28-year-old attacker’s contract at Bloomfield Road is about to expire, so the Seasiders may receive offers for him in the coming year.
“Championship strugglers Huddersfield and QPR are desperate to bolster their attacking options in January and are keeping tabs on Hamilton‘s situation.”
Although Hamilton is presently playing in League One, which may turn off some QPR supporters, he could be a wise addition who can give the team more offensive firepower and a wealth of Football League experience over the years.
Brett Ormerod, a former Blackpool favorite, has praised the 28-year-old in the past, citing his pace as a crucial quality.
He can play either way down the wing, which makes him a nightmare for opponents. He only needs to knock the ball a few yards; his incredible pace takes care of the rest. You have almost no chance if he gets a start on you.”
With four assists and one goal for good measure in League One, the QPR transfer target has had a respectable start to the season for Blackpool. Hamilton has demonstrated that he can compete at that level in the Championship, where he has contributed 12 goals (3 goals and 9 assists). He is still young enough to be a good addition for the Rs for the foreseeable future.
