Alexander Zverev, a die-hard fan of Bayern Munich, spends £8,000 on the ultimate trip to Bavaria. The tennis player will travel with the team and attend a banquet before their Champions League match against Manchester United.

After lavishly spending Tuesday night at his own evening gala, tennis player Alexander Zverev will have the opportunity to witness his heroes from Bayern Munich up close and personal.

Having suffered from Type 1 diabetes since he was four years old, the 26-year-old, who is an avid fan of Bayern Munich, hosted the evening gala for the Alexander Zverev Foundation at the Hotel Tannenhof in Weiler, Germany, in an effort to raise money for children and young people with the condition.

He spent €9,000 (£8,000) to make sure he won the ultimate Bayern experience, which was one of the prizes up for grabs.

He will have complete access to the Bayern team for their Champions League match against Manchester United the following month thanks to this experience.

Before Harry Kane and company take on the Red Devils at Old Trafford, Zverev will travel on the same plane as the players and be allowed to watch their entire final training session in Manchester (the media only gets to see 15 minutes).

Zverev spent £8,000 to see his team-mate Harry Kane (centre) play against Manchester United the following month. In addition, he will be able to watch the team practice and eat dinner with them.

The Olympic champion and past US Open runner-up will then have the opportunity to dine with Bayern’s stars following the match, as is customary for the German powerhouse following away Champions League matches.

Bayern has qualified for the knockout stages with two games remaining after winning all four of their European matches this season.

Erik ten Hag’s team is currently bottom of Group A after losing three of their four games, so United still has a lot to play for.

To advance to the round of 16, they will probably need to defeat Bayern on December 12, but Julian Nagelsmann’s team will be looking to end the group stages strong in order to solidify their position as one of the favorites for this year’s tournament.

Zverev, whose kind donation on Tuesday night contributed to a great night for his foundation, will be present to watch them carry out their work.

A total of €101,500 (£88,000) was raised at the evening gala, and Zverev later posed for a photo with the cheque with his brother Mischa and manager Thomas Kopp.

Even though Bayern has already advanced to the next round, Erik ten Hag’s team still has a long way to go.

Zverev’s evening gala was a success because he raised about £88,000, and afterward, he posed for a picture with his brother Mischa (left), manager Thomas Kopp (right), and Gotz Ritter (left).
