Opening and final venues for Copa América 2024 announced.

As the hosts of the 2024 Copa América, the United States Men’s National Team has qualified, and we are beginning to learn the venues for some of the games. The Copa América 2024 opening match will take place on June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, according to a CONMEBOL announcement made on Monday. On July 14, the Copa América 2024 Final will be held at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

Given that they had not yet obtained qualification at the time of announcement, it is unknown if the USMNT will participate in the opening game. On December 7, the Copa América 2024 Draw will take place, confirming the USMNT’s spot in the field of 16. Many, though, anticipate that the USMNT will play the opening game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of Atlanta United and the Atlanta Falcons, with a seating capacity of 71,000.

The Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes’ home field, Hard Rock Stadium, will host the Copa América 2024 Final on July 14. With a capacity of more than 65,000, it will transform South Florida into the hub of American soccer for a single evening as they announce the Copa América winner.

Although they are anticipated in the next few days, the other tournament locations have not yet been confirmed. But SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host the semifinals, according to ESPN’s Roberto Rojas.

In the two-leg Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals, the United States, Jamaica, Panama, and Mexico all advanced to Copa América. They will be added to the field of 16 that will be divided into groups on December 7th, along with the 10 CONMEBOL members—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The Copa América playoffs in March will decide the final two teams, with Costa Rica taking on Honduras and Canada playing Trinidad & Tobago. On March 23, the winners of those two games will advance to Copa América.
