Another encouraging injury update for Ronnie Staley’s Ravens.

Despite what at first appeared to be a serious knee injury, the veteran tackle is expected to play in Sunday Night Football.

Ronnie Stanley, the offensive tackle, is healthy. The Baltimore Ravens, who were waiting on word on the status of several players’ injuries, were given the all-clear on Sunday morning. The veteran lineman is prepared for tonight’s Sunday Night Football game between the Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers, according to early Sunday morning reporting from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

In Baltimore’s 33-31 Week 10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Stanley seemed to have suffered a serious knee injury. Stanley expressed concern about the incident’s possible seriousness, saying, “I was fortunate and blessed to have nothing serious come out of that.” “I’m definitely looking at the positive because I’ve been down the other road before.”

In Week 8 of 2020, the 29-year-old Notre Dame product sustained an ankle injury that ended his season. His 2021 season would also come to an early end due to surgery on the same ankle.

Stanley’s health isn’t the only thing making headlines this season. Browns cornerback Denzel Ward had harsh words for the lineman following the Week 10 game in which he was injured due to a dubious hit from Brown that caused him to leave the game with a concussion.

After the game, Ward said, “Yeah, I kind of felt it was a little cheap shot. He got me.” I thought the hit was needless and that there should have been a penalty on the play, but whatever—this is football—things happen. Everything is well.

Right now, the 8-3 Ravens hold the top spot in the AFC North and the second seed in the conference’s playoff standings.
