GOOD NEWS: Denver Nuggets Player Has Returned Back To…

‘On cusp’ of recovering from injury, Nuggets star.

Jamal Murray will miss the Denver Nuggets’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday for the eleventh time in a row. The guard has been sidelined by a hamstring injury for some time. Absent Murray, Denver had a 5-5 record going into Monday’s game.

But Shams Charania, who appeared on an episode of FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” claims that Murray is about to rejoin the Nuggets rotation.

“I’m told Jamal Murray will not return tonight against the Clippers,” Charania stated. “However, it will be a day-by-day process after tonight. Over the next few days, they will monitor his condition. He might come back this week. He might make his comeback as soon as this Wednesday, when the Rockets visit the house, or on Friday, when they travel to play the Suns.Without him, Denver is just 5-5 this year. He’s a fierce competitor in the game, so I’m sure it’s getting to him.He will soon be back with the Nuggets.”

Prior to the injury, Murray was having a great season. During a span of seven games, the seasoned guard averaged 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists while shooting 43.3% from the field and 43.8% from three-point range. With Murray back in the lineup, Denver will have a premier player to assist in dismantling the half-court defenses of opponents.

Murray’s minutes will need to be controlled, though, by the Nuggets. Head coach Mike Malone said when he was first injured that the player would be out “longer than we would like” and that Denver would have to make sure he was well enough to return. Reintegrating the player gradually into the rotation is a part of that process.

When Murray gets back, the coaching staff should make the sensible decision to impose a minute restriction. Murray is essential to the Nuggets’ chances of winning the league again. Denver will be a tough opponent for any club in the league once he returns to full health. For his team, Murry is that important.
