Celtics Issue a Concerning Update on Kristaps Porzingis’s Injury.
In roughly a week or so, Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis is scheduled to have another evaluation of his left calf.
On November 24, in the middle of the third quarter against the Orlando Magic, Porzingis hurt his left calf and was unable to play again.
This season, Porzingis has made 15 appearances for the Celtics. In addition to shooting 54.7% from the field, 32.4% from beyond the arc, and 80.0% from the free-throw line, he is averaging 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks.
On the court, Porzingis and Jaylen Brown of the Celtics have a great chemistry. Numerous blunders have linked the two stars together.
“I adore having fun with JB,” stated Porzingis. “I believe that our connection is growing stronger and stronger, and it’s becoming second nature to us. Without warning, I give it to him if he comes off and requests the handoff. I begin rolling, and he begins to play the game a little bit before finishing or throwing the lob, which makes it easy for me. As you can see, we’re having some success with it. I’m learning his game and the circumstances he prefers to be in. Playing with him is so much fun, and I’m looking forward to more of those plays.
With a 13-4 record, the Celtics own the best record in the NBA. What happens when Porzingis recovers from his injury will be interesting to watch. For the past few years, the former star of the New York Knicks has been prone to injuries.
According to Joe Mazzulla, Kristaps Porziņģis’s calf will be reevaluated in approximately a week, but there is currently no set timeline for his return.
