The star player for the Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker, hurt his lower right leg early in the third quarter on Wednesday in Toronto against the Raptors.

Early in the third quarter, Booker looked as though he injured his right foot and ankle while trying a jump pass. At the 10:11 mark in the third, he checked out. On the broadcast, he was seen leaving the game with a noticeable limp and his head covered in a towel on the bench. With 3:59 remaining in the third quarter, he checked in again.

At the time of his injury, the Suns guard was having a poor night on the court, playing just 19 minutes and shooting 1 of 8 from the field, including 0 of 2 from beyond the arc. Despite this, he was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, which helped him score six points prior to his injury. During the course of 32 minutes, he shot 2-of-12 for eight points, including 0 of 4 from beyond the arc.

Booker’s right leg’s strained calf has caused him to miss time already this season.

Before playing against the Raptors on Wednesday, the 27-year-old from the University of Kentucky had averaged 29.4 points per game in 34 minutes per game in nine games this season.

Toronto eventually defeated the Suns 112-105.

TORONTO (AP) — The Suns’ winning streak came to an end on Wednesday night when the Toronto Raptors defeated Phoenix 112-105, led by 22 points from Pascal Siakam and 23 from Scottie Barnes.

After missing two games due to a sore foot, Kevin Durant scored 11 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter for Phoenix, while fellow star Devin Booker only managed eight points. The Suns suffered their first defeat since falling to Oklahoma City at home on November 12.

With 50 seconds left, Booker, who defeated the New York Knicks on Sunday night with a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds remaining, missed a three-point attempt that would have tied the game. Booker made 2 of 12 shots and 0 of 4 3-pointers.

The Suns, who shot 7 for 26 from three this season, matched their lowest number of made three-pointers, were led by Jusuf Nurkic, who finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Durant had a 2 for 8 outside the arc clip. Josh Okogie and Eric Gordon each had ten points.

For the first time in three games, Dennis Schroder led the Raptors to victory with a season-high 12 assists. Jakob Poeltl scored 17 points, O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. each had 13, and Precious Achiuwa finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Raptors, who fell short against Brooklyn on Tuesday night, experienced a delayed flight from New York and arrived in Toronto at 4 a.m.; however, they appeared unaffected by their brief sleepless night.
