GOOD NEWS: Phoenix Suns Key Players Are Back From….

Key players for the Phoenix Suns versus Denver Nuggets game are back.

Despite their season-long struggles with injuries, the Phoenix Suns will have these players back when they play the Denver Nuggets.

Although the Phoenix Suns’ seven-game winning streak was ended in their most recent game against the Toronto Raptors, the season has gone well so far. The Suns have turned things around after a rough beginning in which they lost back-to-back games to the San Antonio Spurs, who haven’t won a game since.

Bradley Beal’s reevaluation is still more than a week away, which is unfortunate because it would be fantastic to see him back in uniform before Christmas. He has only played in three games this season due to a back injury, and it is still keeping him out. The “Big 3” of Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant haven’t actually played in a competitive setting for a single minute, which was not the intended outcome for this team.

And then there’s Durant, who recently missed two games due to foot pain but now seems to be fully recovered. The Suns have a big week ahead of them as they play host to the defending champion Denver Nuggets to start the month and then attempt to win the inaugural in-season tournament. Booker’s opinions on that are already known to us, so any opportunity to receive recognition is something to be considered seriously.

The Suns need to get as many healthy bodies on the court as they can in order to accomplish that goal and defeat the Nuggets beforehand, and we now have updates on a number of their important players.

Of course, Durant is available, but Beal is not. Unfortunately, Booker is classified as questionable after rolling his ankle during the Raptors game in Toronto and attempting to play through the injury. He finished with just eight points despite playing 33 minutes, a decision whose merits are difficult to debate given the opportunities he had to make it worse. Head coach Frank Vogel said the following following the game:

Booker leading the charge as the point guard is essential if the Suns are to have any chance against the Nuggets. However, would you rather lose this game in order to advance to the in-season tournament semifinals in Las Vegas and defeat the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this season?

Maybe they’re thinking that Booker won’t be able to travel to Los Angeles for the Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies home game the next night, and they can again rely heavily on Durant. Whatever the case, coach Vogel has some good news: two rotation players are once again available. We might not see him, though.

The first is Grayson Allen, who is arguably the third-best player in the Suns’ lineup this year. Allen had been out sick for the past two games. Many teams would be thrilled to have Allen, as players signed this summer are eligible to be traded beginning on December 15. It’s not like the Suns are considering trading him, not even for a player who was a trade target in the offseason.

This season, Allen has made five attempts per night at long range, scoring an astounding 47.5 percent of the time. Since Beal has been out of the lineup, Allen has performed admirably, chipping in defensively and making numerous deep shots that are open. When Allen is on the court, it is obvious that Booker and Durant trust him, and the team benefits from his return.

The second is Nassir Little, who will suit up now that the Suns are back in The Valley. Little missed the trip to Toronto to attend his daughter’s birth. Little joined the team late in the offseason and was considered an afterthought in the Deandre Ayton trade with the Portland Trail Blazers, but few players on this roster have taken chances like he has this season.

Quietly emerging as a valuable asset off the bench, he has given the team much-needed momentum in light of players like Yuta Watanabe and Keita Bates-Diop occasionally failing to live up to expectations. Having two of their top nine players back in Allen and Little is a welcome boost as the Suns try to get back to winning ways, especially since Booker’s ultimate status won’t be known until closer to tip-off.
