Over 187 relief appearances in four big league seasons with Texas (2019–22), he recorded a 3.85 ERA. Bush did not play in any regular-season or postseason games despite being added to the active roster for the last two games of the regular season. In 24 appearances between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock, he combined to record a 2.64 ERA. On July 10, he signed a Minor League contract to rejoin the Rangers after beginning the season with the Brewers.

All 27 other eligible players on the roster received contract offers from Texas.

Nov. 14: Texas’ 40-man roster now includes four prospects.
In order to shield players from the Rule 5 Draft, the Rangers added four of their Top 30 prospects—infielder Justin Foscue (No. 6), right-hander Marc Church (No. 19), right-hander Jose Corniell (No. 23), and left-hander Antoine Kelly (No. 26)—to the 40-man roster prior to Tuesday’s deadline.

The team declared on June 5, the day after deGrom was placed on the 60-day IL instead of the 15-day one, that the seasoned right-hander would require surgery to repair his right elbow’s UCL. On June 12, he had the successful surgery, and on June 18, deGrom declared his intention to return in August 2024. Chris Young, the general manager, was careful to emphasize that injury timelines are subject to change.

For the 34-year-old deGrom, it was his second such procedure. He had undergone Tommy John surgery after his first professional season in 2010.

After the game, deGrom left his start against the Yankees on April 28 in the fourth inning due to what was described as tightness in his right forearm. The next day, after an MRI exam that revealed elbow inflammation, he started taking the IL. Due to right wrist soreness, deGrom also skipped his start against the Royals on April 17; however, he was back for his next scheduled game, which was against the A’s, on April 23. Return anticipated: 2024
Odorizzi underwent an arthroscopic debridement procedure on his right shoulder, which caused him to miss the entire 2023 season. The right-hander did not toss against live batters at all during Spring Training due to shoulder fatigue.

According to general manager Chris Young, team physician Dr. Keith Meister determined they had run out of non-surgical options for Odorizzi’s rehabilitation after conducting additional evaluations. (Recent update: November 3)
