Reaction from Upstate leaders to Panthers’ announcement of moving their training camp to Charlotte.
FOX Carolina’s Spartanburg, South Carolina The Panthers announced on Wednesday that they will relocate training camp to Charlotte for the upcoming offseason. Except for 2020, when it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wofford College’s campus has hosted the training camp every year since 1995. When the Carolina Panthers were first welcomed into the city, Councilman David Britt was present.

The team started construction on a multi-million dollar training complex in Rock Hill, but after the agreement fell through, they moved back to Wofford.
