NEW YORK GIANTS HAS FINALLY OWNED THE RACE BY SIGNING.
Before the New York Giants play the Green Bay Packers on Friday, Dexter Lawrence will return to practice; however, Evan Neal will miss his fourth straight game.
Dexter Lawrence, a defensive tackle for the New York Giants, returned to practice on Friday in preparation for their Monday night game against the Green Bay Packers (6-6). Lawrence is expected to play for the Giants on Monday night after being sidelined by a hamstring injury.
Offensive tackle Evan Neal is another major injury the Giants are dealing with ahead of their game against the Packers. Neal was not visible at practice on Friday and is expected to miss his fourth straight game due to an ankle injury. Neal has not had the best second season in New York, so it will be interesting to see what happens going forward. Tyre Phillips will start at right tackle in Neal’s place.
The offensive line of the Green Bay Packers will need to be prepared for Dexter Lawrence given his limitations. Lawrence severely disrupted the game when the Packers and him played in London the previous season; hopefully, that doesn’t happen again.
Dexter Lawrence must be double-teamed by the Green Bay Packers in order for him to avoid interfering with the game.
The Packers must double-team Lawrence up front in order to prevent being upset by the Giants on the road on Monday night football. New York still has one of the worst defenses in the NFL, even with him starting. The idea is to prevent him from having the opportunity to sabotage a football game. Kayvon Thibodeaux, who has 11 sacks this season, plays for New York as well.
This season, Dexter Lawrence has racked up 41 total tackles, four sacks, and two pass deflections. This season, the offensive line for the Green Bay Packers has been unsteady. The offensive line has performed better, which has allowed Jordan Love to feel at ease during the last three games. Dexter Lawrence, who was an all-pro last season, has the ability to interrupt play at any time.
In addition to having one of the worst offensive line units in the NFL, the Giants also have Tyre Phillips starting in Evan Neal’s absence. For the past few weeks, Green Bay has been pressing the quarterback. On Monday night football, they ought to get their fair share of sacks as well.
