THE PITTSBUGH STEELERS HAS AGREED WITH $800 DEAL WITH.
Steelers Might Try to Sign Bears Quarterback.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are going through an odd moment right now. Kenny Pickett was criticized for being their starter, but the team soon realized they might be in even bigger trouble without him. Now, when talking about the future, their quarterback situation is taken into account. Furthermore, according to one analyst, a young quarterback might be joining the Steelers in Pittsburgh during the offseason. That QB is none other than Justin Fields. The Chicago Bears are thinking about selecting a quarterback with the first overall pick in the offseason, so the quarterback may be traded. According to CBS Sports’ Emory Hunt, the Steelers ought to be his next stop if he decides to move.
“I can’t stop wondering: What if Chicago decides to bench Justin Fields? That’s a possibility, a direction Pittsburgh could take, according to Hunt. “It wouldn’t shock me to see them call Chicago and see what their temperature with Justin Fields is.” Next season, Fields will enter the last year of his rookie contract, giving the Steelers a year to determine whether he is the team’s best option going forward. Since Pittsburgh is expected to receive a lower draft pick, it may be best to replace their current quarterback lineup with a veteran. Since Fields is only 24 years old, he still has plenty of time to establish himself as the Steelers’ franchise quarterback.
Many people agreed with ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky when he said earlier in the season that Fields would be an improvement over Pickett. It will be interesting to see if Pittsburgh chooses to move up for a developing player if he does become available in the spring.

Inside linebacker Elandon Roberts and special-teamer Miles Killebrew each were fined by the NFL for actions during the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week.
Roberts was docked $21,855 and Killebrew $10,927 for what the league deemed were unnecessary roughness during Arizona’s 24-10 upset victory.
Each player was given a 15-yard penalty for the play that induced the fine – Roberts was for first-quarter unnecessary roughness while Killebrew’s was for a facemask in the fourth quarter.
Killebrew’s grabbing of Greg Dortch’s helmet bars with 10 minutes and 49 seconds left in regulation was a rather straight-forward penalty and fine. The play by Roberts that was subject to discipline came 6 minutes and 1 second into the game when he ran in hard and hit Cardinals running back Emari Demercado after Demercado had lunged for an attempted screen pass that was too high.
