Many NFL fans think Bryce Young’s career in the league might already be shot during his rookie season with the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers organization made many bad moves that harmed the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Panthers hired former Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich after he failed to do anything with Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz. The Panthers had to fire him midseason.

In addition, the Panthers made some odd selections prior to selecting a quarterback in the April draft. Wide receiver D.J. Moore, who was their most gifted offensive player, was traded to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a first-round selection. As part of their agreement with the Panthers for the first overall pick, the Bears demanded Moore, defensive end Brian Burns, or defensive tackle Derrick Brown.

The Panthers chose to give the Bears Moore instead of a defender. Young came into a team with a poor wide receivers room and offensive line. According to Pro Football Focus, the Panthers’ offensive line is ranked 31st in pass blocking this season.

Young hasn’t improved with the 1-12 Panthers this season. The Panthers are on track to hand over the number one pick in 2024 to the Bears. And this replay of a terrible overthrow by Young to Jonathan Mingo against the New Orleans Saints Sunday has fans panicking that the Panthers have already ruined Young.

Young has a 58.5 completion percentage this season for 2,192 yards, nine touchdowns, and nine interceptions after the Panthers’ lopsided loss to the Saints on Sunday. Following the game, supporters vented their worries about X’s career on social media.
