TE Dawson Knox of the Buffalo Bills will have surgery.
Dawson Knox, a tight end for the Buffalo Bills, has been battling a wrist injury.

According to coach Sean McDermott, tight end Player of the Buffalo Bills will have wrist surgery. As the Bills get ready for their home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, it’s unclear exactly when he’ll return.

McDermott stated on Monday, “It’s too early to say how much time he’ll miss.”

Despite dealing with a wrist injury in recent weeks, Knox was still able to participate in three full practices before the New England Patriots defeated him 29–25 on Sunday. Knox only managed one reception for ten yards against New England, suggesting that the nagging nature of the injury is finally getting to him. He has 15 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown so far this season.

Fortunately for the Bills, Dalton Kincaid, a rookie tight end selected in the first round, just had his best performance as a pro in the Patriots defeat. He recorded eight catches for seventy-five yards (on eight targets).

In terms of catches and receiving yards, Kincaid led the Bills, even on a day when Stefon Diggs had twelve targets.

Knox gave Kincaid acclaim for his performance after Sunday’s game.

Knox described it as “definitely a bright part of the game.” “He should be used as a weapon. Hopefully, that will maintain his self-assurance. We can spread the ball around more and be more versatile the more offensive weapons we have. The more difficult every part is to defend. Unquestionably pleased for him. Hopefully, that will keep growing.
