Following surgery to correct a dislocated hip, Detroit Lions quarter back player will spend the night in a hospital in the Baltimore area on Sunday.

Midway through the third quarter, Ibrahim—who had been promoted from the Lions’ practice squad for Sunday’s 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens—was hurt while returning a kick.

After a 22-yard return, Ibrahim was tackled, and Lions players instantly started waving to the sideline for medical assistance. After being placed on a stretcher, he was driven off the field in a cart.

CARLOS MONARREZ AND SHAWN WINDSOR: Dan Campbell and his staff are to blame for the humiliating blowout loss to the Ravens by the Detroit Lions.

According to Lions coach Dan Campbell, Ibrahim should “be OK” based on early signs.

Campbell remarked, “But he’s going to say here overnight.” “He is resilient. That hurts me for him, but it really strains our team.

With starting rusher David Montgomery sidelined with a rib injury and backup Craig Reynolds dealing with toe and hamstring issues, the Lions were shorthanded at running back going into Sunday.

After missing two games due to a strained hamstring, Jahmyr Gibbs made his comeback on Sunday and ran for 68 yards. In his limited action off the bench, Reynolds had three carries for 16 yards.

According to Campbell, Lions fullback Kalif Raymond also left the game on Sunday due to cramps, and Malcolm Rodriguez, a linebacker who also saw some action as an offensive fullback, hurt his ankle.
