The Senior Bowl invite was accepted by Justin Eboigbe of Alabama football, the team announced on Thursday. After kicker Will Reichard, Eboigbe became the second member of the Crimson Tide to accept his invitation.

After missing his entire 2022 season due to a neck injury, the redshirt senior defensive lineman returned to play a crucial role for the 2023 Tide.

In November, Eboigbe remarked, “Just looking at the year in review man, it’s been long road, a tough road.” “There are many mental and physical struggles along the path to recovery. I have no idea what the future holds for me, including whether or not I will be able to play football again or how I will recover from my injury and return to the field. and simply appreciating the results of my efforts and the time invested. Everything that has occurred is something I am happy about.

So far this season, Eboigbe has racked up seven sacks, one of which came against Georgia in the SEC championship game. In addition, he has 59 total tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss.

Dallas Turner, an edge rusher for Alabama, claims that Eboigbe has additionally shown crucial leadership up front.

“Having him return as a veteran and an older head, it’s great to have a guy like that,” Turner stated back in October. “A young group surrounds him at the defensive line as well, so he can guide them, teach them right from wrong, offer advice, and be a good brother. That kind of guy is also beneficial to have on the line of scrimmage because he is intelligent, knowledgeable, and able to communicate effectively. As a result, we can agree on a lot of topics.
