After suffering an in early November, star Tyler Herro has revealed when he plans to return, much to the relief of Miami Heat fans who have been waiting for an update. Herro stated that he hopes to return to the media on Monday or Wednesday before the Heat play the Chicago Bulls in the final game of a back-to-back. The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson also reported on it.

Herro fell and landed awkwardly on Jaren Jackson Jr. during Miami’s Nov. 8 game against the Memphis Grizzlies, resulting in a Grade 2 right ankle sprain. The following day, the team declared that he would be reevaluated in two weeks after spending 10 days in a walking boot.

After two weeks, there had been no news regarding Herro. Erik Spoelstra, the head coach of the Heat, would inform the media during practices and other press conferences that he was getting better and healing quickly.

Herro stated he would make a comeback during Miami’s upcoming games on Monday and Wednesday. The final game of the four-game home stand against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the top seed in the Western Conference, would take place on Monday. The Orlando Magic, the third-seeded team in the Eastern Conference, would be the opponent on the road on Wednesday.

In any case, Herro was the Heat’s top scorer before his injury, averaging nearly 23 points per contest, so this is huge news for the team. To make his eagerly anticipated comeback, he has been stepping up his behind-the-scenes rehabilitation efforts.

The Heat will play a maximum of three games before Herro makes his comeback. Miami’s matchup with the Bulls will begin on Thursday.
