Report: Because of an suspension, Steelers starting safeties Damontae Kazee and Minkah Fitzpatrick will not play against the Bengals.
This week, the Bengals take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are missing both of their starting safeties. Star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick sustained a knee injury in the defeat to Indianapolis, so he will miss the game.
In addition, Damonta Kazee, a fellow starter, was suspended for the remainder of the season for a hit on Michael Pittman Jr. that resulted in the safety’s ejection from Saturday’s 30-13 loss.
In the hopes that he and fellow backup Miles Killebrew can keep together a thin position group, Pittsburgh also sent backup safety Trenton Thompson through a stinger in that game.
