Tonight (10:30 p.m. ET, MSG) the New York Knicks take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the second of their Tinseltown games, and they might not have to field two of their best players.

Both Anthony Davis (hip and abductor) and LeBron James (calf) are listed as doubtful for tonight’s game. They are in the same dubious category as Christian Wood (illness). Jarred Vanderbilt (back) and D’Angelo Russell (illness) are likely. Gabe Vincent (knee) and Jalen Hood-Schifino (back) are out.

Paul George (groin, hip) is listed as questionable on the injury report, so the New York Knicks may be without one of their best players when they play the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday (10:30 p.m. ET, MSG).

George might miss his second straight game after missing Thursday’s matchup with the Sacramento Kings.

Point guard Bradley Beal left Friday’s Suns vs. Knicks game due to a right ankle injury. He had successfully attempted a three-point shot in the first quarter but landed awkwardly on a defending Donte DiVincenzo. Since then, Phoenix has declared that Beal will not play the rest of the way.

Devin Booker and Kevin Durant joined Beal on the court for the Suns’ only other three-man lineup, which came into play on Friday. After review, DiVincenzo was called for a flagrant foul, and Beal was replaced by Nassir Little after he briefly remained in the game and made a successful free throw.

Phoenix leads the Knicks 99-97 going into the fourth quarter, despite Beal’s absence.

December 15th G LEAGUE WESTCHESTER SIGNING WITH DYLAN WINDLER Dylan Windler was let go by the New York Knicks earlier this week after they signed Taj Gibson, but it looks like he will remain with the team in a different capacity.

Windler was listed in the starting lineup for the Westchester Knicks tonight against the Capital City Go-Go, following the team’s announcement that they had signed him. Windler, an NBA player selected by Cleveland in the first round of 2019, participated in three games for the team this season.

Taj Gibson, a forward, has returned to the New York Knicks on a one-year contract. The Brooklyn native Gibson played for the Knicks for three seasons (2019–22) before spending the previous season with the Washington Wizards.

Following Mitchell Robinson’s injury, which will cause the starting center to miss eight to ten weeks following ankle surgery, the Knicks’ size should be strengthened with the addition of the six-foot-nine Gibson.
